Pronunciation

“HE” sound in "Head".

Except when it’s the へ PARTICLE. Then it sounds like the

“E” in “exercise”.

Both the hiragana and katakana versions of へ are just a giant mountain of HAY. Or a haystack.

ヘ Memorization Story

Both are essentially the same, though in some fonts the katakana will appear a bit STRAIGHTER and jagged than the hiragana.

In WRITING, the hiragana is more rounded than the katakana. Which tends to stay more angular, like the font.
